I'm a fan of the music and advanced graphics in this game (except for everything after ff7...), but I also dislike Disney stuff. What are your thoughts on it? Would you try it?

If you hate Disney it's probably a no go. It's a Disney themed final fantasy basically.
That said it is a very well made game and a ton of fun. (just don't try to follow the story...)
The combat is interesting (think final fantasy xiii) and there's a lot to do.
All in all I'd suggest getting it and seeing if you enjoy it. I'm not a huge Disney fan but I love kingdom hearts.

not a terrible series in general. it can become quite confusing at times. the first one feels quite old-fashioned compared to KH2, so i suggest going for the remastered collection—though it's not available on pc. you could try emulation, but you'll still be missing DDD and some other titles.

The game is fun, but if you value the story, be prepared to use the wiki constantly or skip it since it won't make much sense.

I enjoy Kingdom Hearts as a game, but the story is quite complex and it feels necessary to play every title to grasp what's happening. Even the side games have more or less everything available until Kingdom Hearts III, and some of them are essentially just cutscene films.

It's Mickey Mouse plus some intense cutscenes. If you enjoy that vibe, go all in.

I didn't become too involved. The FF elements seem forced. As mentioned before, the story feels like a lot of nonsense and depends heavily on the "power of friendship conquers all" cliché.
If you're a dedicated Final Fantasy enthusiast but haven't played beyond 7, I suggest trying FF6 instead. You'll likely have a better time.
