I don't get why they put this choice here. It's just confusing stuff, like thinking that if you choose a number that's smaller, the computer will run faster than if it's bigger.

Are you trying to turn the volume down? No, just hitting buttons that make things stop working. Those switches only control how the computer hears music, not how it plays it. They don't change what your CPU does, so turning them off won't slow anything down.

It takes very few clock cycles for this to happen, so don't worry about how it affects your processor's speed or performance. You can set everything however feels right to you now. Just forget about things that aren't important and stop wasting time on details that won't matter to you at all.
