I received multiple client updates, often repeated, possibly due to some underlying issue. Since then, I've faced frequent signouts and trouble accessing the platform. Steam incorrectly flags me as offline even though I can play online or browse the store. Many users on Reddit report similar problems, but it seems to be a bug rather than an actual outage. It's really frustrating, isn't it?

had a comparable situation before. The main reasons were:
A) hardware specs were too low, making it hard to handle all the steam helper files
B) OS problems if running on Linux, especially due to package or kernel updates
C) a very unstable internet connection, possibly caused by congestion or poor DNS servers from the ISP
A and C were probably the main issues.

It felt just fine again, though it might have been a side effect of the "better online" update. I also noticed this (and similar posts) – the improvements actually made it harder to reconnect when problems arose.

Well, it's still a mess... what they did? Ouch! You can see he's getting my messages... even though it says "failed." The problem with my cloud save is also broken—it just replaced my good save with one from two years ago! Internet seems fine, but it looks like Steam is having trouble. P.S.: This is exactly what's happening... I'm not alone, lol... Steam doesn't seem to care... "Improved online connectivity" my ass.
