Just started building this new system (ASUS Z170A / i6 6600K/ Hyper 212 EVO).
I went into the BIOS to overclock for some CPU-heavy games.
Picked Sync all cores, set CPU ratio to 43, and left everything else on Auto, including Voltages.
Performed a few stress and monitoring tests (AIDA 64 & CPU ID HW monitor during Prime 64).
Everything seems stable with max temps around 64°C and voltages up to 1.248V.
But honestly, it feels a bit too easy...
Am I missing something obvious that should be checked? Or should I just leave it and move on?
I've had a comparable situation. I think you're referring to the i5... but getting the i5 6600k was straightforward. I ended up just south of where you did. Keep going and have fun with your build!
