Hi everyone, I recently upgraded to the 5080 asus prime oc with a psu from Corsair, the rm850x 2021 edition. The issue is that I have two pcie cables and discovered a third one, but I'm unsure if it belongs to this psu or the previous 750 version. Two of them have numbers 34-0 00821, one has Type4 and another has 34-0 00371. Is it safe to use these cables?

I made an error, that model was also rm850x but purchased in 2018.

I would simply purchase the corsair cable and avoid using the adapter altogether.

The 2018 version uses Type-4 cables, and the 2021 version also includes Type-4 cables, allowing you to reuse the PCIe cable. However, it's best to keep each PSU's cables as they are (i.e., match the original cables from the 2018 unit). Refer to the harness suggested by your colleague for added confidence.
