Just take a look at my cable setup issue, I switched my power supply and I'm concerned it might lead to a short circuit or something similar. Sorry for asking such a simple question—I'm really new to this.

I updated my power supply. Before, everything worked well with the original unit, but now I'm replacing it. Please share the details of your build so I can confirm compatibility.

CPU model is Core i7-7700. Motherboard is ASUS H100M-K. RAM consists of two 8 GB DDR4 2400 Mhz ballistix sport modules. Storage includes an adata 128 GB SSD and a WD 1 TB 7200 RPM hard drive. GPU is an EVGA RTX 2060 with a single fan. Power supply is an EVGA 700W 80+ white unit, purchased new. Chassis is thermaltake versa n25. Operating system is Windows 10 Pro. Display is a generic 1080p 24” curved monitor at 144 Hz, manufactured by Mtek, using a Samsung LCD panel.

if you didn't reuse cables from your earlier power supply, then it should work fine

It has valid certification and is similar to Corsair VS series. It isn't the top choice, but the system won't accept much power.
