In SpeedFan, figure out what fan header you have put the rad fan on by using the arrows to raise percentage to 100. Then go to configure, fan control. Add a test fan. Middle of the page, click on controlled. Open up the setting to the right and find the header for the fan. Under the white box to the left click add. This is where you'll get the temp from. Click CPU. If you click again, it'll show the fan curve.
This'll set an advanced fan curve for that header using the cpu temp.
SpeedFan isn't easy to learn, but if you want to control your fans, learn the basics, there is no plug and play automatic switch.
What motherboard do you have?
CPU Cooling: Corsair H45 Liquid Cooler
