Hello, I own a Chinese X89 Opteron motherboard that had issues with a blown MOSFET, causing the board to fail. I'm seeing VRM temperatures and loads spike a lot lately. I'm wondering if it's feasible to replace those MOSFETs with more robust ones to reduce stress and cooling demands. Specifically, the VRMs use both MDU1511 and MDU1514 chips. Are there upgraded alternatives available that could improve power delivery without requiring major board changes? I'm not very technical, so I want a clear explanation.

It might help if you locate a more highly rated part with the same size package. The main issue remains that swapping all MOSFETs requires significant effort, and the boards may not improve enough to justify the work. Instead of replacing every component, consider boosting cooling for the VRM parts, which is cheaper and simpler. If possible, choose a larger VRM heatsink with matching mounting holes and install a 40mm fan to improve airflow.

It seems you're suggesting moving to a higher-end board for the G34 and stopping further upgrades.
