Is it possible to run Ryzen 5 1600 with just one core?
I constructed my PC a few months back and noticed it's operating with just a single core. Task Manager shows it's using only one core and one logical processor. Do you have any suggestions? I'm running an MSI B350 Tomohawk board and haven't performed any overclocking.
Are you referring to the task manager displaying only the first core and thread, rather than all cores? Or are you experiencing just two graphs instead of the full 12? Because differences in usage and actual core counts can indicate potential problems.
Check msconfig.
Type msconfig in the windows search bar, then navigate through the steps:
Msconfig > Boot > Advanced options.
You can verify the number of processes or ensure it hasn't been previously checked.
Did Windows come as a brand-new setup for this machine, or was it transferred from another system?
What operating system is required to install the newest chipset driver?
