I understand you're curious about whether SC Pay is worth it.

Based on what I understand, yes or at least contributing is necessary to make progress significantly.

It won’t be fully polished yet, so you’ll need to focus on earning money in-game to purchase ships. Right now, only those who support the project can play, and you shouldn’t expect a typical experience.

Not everything will be purchasable in the game; credits are available for in-game purchases. The only expense is a starter pack. Even the alpha will introduce a rental system for ships and equipment in the upcoming update. At launch, ships won’t be sold directly with real money, but you can earn credits weekly or monthly using real currency. This allows those with limited time to still enjoy the game. Keep in mind that a more expensive ship isn’t always ideal—every choice involves trade-offs, and activities like mining or dogfighting require skill you can’t simply buy.

I was a deity in the Aurora LN and secured victories against a whole swarm of hornets, yet outside that I'm just a common player. The game demands strong skill and understanding of your own vessel.
