Hello everyone,
I recently completed a new PC build in March and have encountered several problems.
The system includes:
- AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard
- Asus TUF GAMING OC GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER 16 GB Video Card
- G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory

I experience significant lag when turning on the computer; the Windows login screen becomes extremely slow, and the mouse stutters across the display. Logging in is possible but still affected by delays. Restarting resolves the issue temporarily.

Additionally, I've faced a few blue screens shortly after startup, accompanied by the error: "Video Scheduler Internal Error."
I don’t know if these problems are connected. On another forum, I discovered warnings during boot and shutdown events, with occasional errors. However, when lag occurs, such warnings aren’t present. One post I found shows this issue:

I’m also uncertain if my 10-year-old computer, which started booting faster than this one even without lag issues, is affected. I wonder if it should be handling things more smoothly.

The CPU cooler stopped working after a drop in RPM and then emitted a buzzing sound.
Otherwise, it seems to function well overall. I’m just a bit frustrated by the unexpected problems.

I’ve tried the following:
- Updated BIOS to the latest version
- Ensured Windows drivers are current
- Updated GPU drivers
- Enabled EXPO
- Set power plan to High performance
- Disabled Windows fast start up
- Turned off hardware acceleration for GPU scheduling (restored after)

I’m at this point and would appreciate any advice.
I’m thinking about reformatting the system and starting fresh, but I’d like to hear your suggestions first.

Is the Windows setup freshly cleaned? Have you tested performance under a clean boot environment?

What tools should I recommend for benchmarking, and what steps are needed to enable a clean boot or performance mode?

I have identical CPU and also a 4080 super. I experienced the same issue once a week ago, but it's recurring now. The PC was working well a few months prior, except possibly for the extension cord.
