On my current PC I'm using an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and a GTX 1060 with a recommended power draw of 400-499 watts from a 550 W EVGA 550 B3 PSU. After the latest upgrade, I was considering replacing the 1060 with a 3060 TI because it fits my budget. Now I'm expecting the new setup to require 500-599 watts. I won't be overclocking and I'm wondering if my 550 W PSU can still handle it or if I should also upgrade it. Thanks for your assistance.

The suggested psu size is 550w.
You are probably fine.
However, what will your alternative plan "B" be if the psu fails to function?

Thanks for the update! There isn't a clear alternative plan right now. I stumbled upon some GPU options by chance today and checked their prices, so I'm not in a hurry to upgrade. A replacement power supply is also an option. Since I'm not very familiar with parts, I wanted to explore if it's feasible with what I currently have before making a purchase decision. Thanks again for your assistance.

The 550w psu should work well for the upgrade. The 3060ti handles about 200W under full load, making it quite efficient. The 1060 draws around 120W when loaded, so the wattage gap is minimal. I already have a 600w unit running a 5600x with a 3070 and various components, getting close to 470 watts under normal use (gaming and more).
