If he didn't understand what he was doing, he should have asked his friend about a $400 CPU. Regardless, he didn't need to remove it just to change the thermal paste unless he was doing this: lmao.

I was thinking of a different approach, but you might want to simplify it. Be mindful, it’s hard to predict the optimal method. Your feedback doesn’t add much insight.

It really doesn't make sense to remove the CPU just to clean thermal paste. I found that video confusing.

I agree, just apply pressure to bend it out. Look for a flat, sharp edge on the countertop and push gently until it's straight.

Humour? And what does the worth of this comment really mean? Sarcasm? Cleaning thermal paste while the CPU is in the socket—because it’s safely secured, and even safer. Check the top post for an example of why.
