Since Cyberpunk doesn’t require full path tracing, most of those titles should function well on this PC in the near future. All present Assassin’s Creed releases are unconfirmed for upcoming versions.
The new PSU will ensure the remaining components continue to operate smoothly.
I spent considerable time contemplating this before installing the new system a few days ago. I considered something quite similar as demonstrated here. However, when I developed my earlier setup in 2015, I used a 1150 socket with no upgrade possibilities. Creating my current system on an AM4 would still put me in a similar situation years later. Although upgrading to a Ryzen 7 or 9 on AM4 is possible, the immediate availability of such options made me choose the AM5 platform and the 6950xt. Yes, it was significantly more costly—requiring a new monitor and other changes—but once I started using it, running Starfield at 1440p with 80+ fps felt incredibly smooth. A lot has indeed changed since 2015.
Thank you all for the comments, I'll likely wait for events like Black Friday and check the prices then. If the prices for am5 CPUs and mobos don't drop significantly, I'll probably choose the am4 system instead.
