I'm curious about using Msi Afterburner on my Lenovo Y700 and whether it's suitable. I don't want to significantly reduce its lifespan, aiming for at least three more years of use. Here are my specifications:

CPU: Intel Core i7 6700 HQ 2.6 GHz (3.5 on turbo)
GPU: Nvidia GTX 960M 4Gb
Ram: 16 gb

I've experimented with some games like Watchdogs 2, achieving 30-40 fps at 720p with certain settings off, and Witcher 3 at 900p low-mid, also getting 30-40 fps. I'm looking for a modest boost of around 5-10 fps without overdoing it. I don't want to risk damaging the laptop or shortening its life. Please advise.

Little OC doesn't bring any visible gain and large one generates more heat so laptops are not very conductive to OC.
