The system removes the Windows.old folder after 30 or 10 days. This means you won't have to manually delete it using a cleanup tool.

I'm fairly certain the directory is removed once it's been there for 30 days.

Maybe I was mistaken. I assumed Microsoft offered more flexibility. I think a ten-day trial isn't enough to truly gauge your preference for an operating system.

it was thirty days left before version 1607 of windows 10 came out, but it's been ten days since then.
i just deleted mine and regained 30gb.
