Under normal conditions, a CPU maintains its performance without degradation.
If the specific component you possess were to experience such a decline, it would still happen regardless of your actions.
This isn't the case here.
Keep in mind, you're targeting issues that don't actually exist for the system you currently have.

I recently retired an Asus m5a97/ Phennom2 x6 system that was overclocked to 3.6. The previous setup had been continuously used 24/7/365. I’m still running an Asus Z170 and an i5 6600 with a 1070, which is also the same. As mentioned earlier, the biggest issue is heat. Next comes overvolting, then cheaper power supplies. Avoid overvolting; let it run hot or provide poor power and systems will eventually fail. Most units are past their useful life for the original owner, but they could still be suitable for email, internet, coding, app development, and other non-demanding tasks.

Stop this entirely. Just purchase the parts, put together the system, and use it until it stops working for its intended purpose.
