I would expect the response to be no, though some articles suggest otherwise.

Several inexpensive membrane keyboards are so basic that a simple wash won't damage them. However, most of them contain components that could begin to corrode if washed. Premium mechanical or multimedia models, especially those with screens, are definitely not safe for such treatment.

I recommend using a good wipe down with a rag and isopropyl.
I've had inconsistent results even after watching several videos from influencers. The key point is you must ensure it's completely dry before reattaching.

In any case, the methods you mentioned seem to be the only options available.

Most keyboards include some kind of lubricant or grease on the hinges for bigger keys such as space and shift. Washing can remove this, causing the keys to stick or make noise. Removing them and using simpler cleaning methods is preferable, though care must be taken to avoid breaking tabs and clips. Mechanical keyboards are favored by enthusiasts because they allow complete swapping of switches and key caps, greatly simplifying maintenance.

Another element: dishwasher drying mode. What occurs with the keyboard when the warmth activates?

i've only ever used a good extended brush vacuum attachment.
go over once with keys attached for dust, a second time with keys removed for any particles or debris that's accumulated behind the keys.
then if necessary, wipe away fingerprints or stains using a sanitizing wipe.

I would not do that.
With power off, turn the keyboard upside down and tap the back a few times, then tilt it left and tap, then right. You might notice a lot of crud falling out.
Some glass cleaner and a paper towel seem to work well for surface crud.
