Is it able to Overclock?
I'm curious about overclocking the AMD FX-6300 on my budget motherboard GA-78LMT-USB3. If I can do it, what benefits can I expect? Before doing that, I'll install a Corsair Hydro Series H55 Quiet Edition Liquid and have a 212 EVO ready.
I'm curious about overclocking my AMD FX-6300 on the GA-78LMT-USB3 motherboard. I've got a 212 EVO and want to know what benefits I might gain. Before doing anything, I'll install Corsair Hydro Series H55 Quiet Edition Liquid. If it works, I should be good, but the results will vary. My setup includes an 8GB RAM, a 1TB Western Digital HDD, and a Corsair CX 500W PSU. The cooling system is Hyper Evo 212, which will likely become Corsair Hydro Series H55 Quiet Edition Liquid soon. Just be careful not to push it too far.

Before i overclock i will get a Corsair Hydro Series H55 Quiet Edition Liquid right now i have a 212 evo
depends, can your power supply handle it? if so, go for it. but what you get out of it depends.
This is my system:
CPU--- AMD FX-6300 Vishera 6-Core 3.5 GHz
GPU--- EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti FTW
PSU--- Corsair CX Series 500 Watt
Motherboard--- GA-78LMT-USB3
RAM--- 8.00GB
HDD-- 1TB WESTERN D
Cooling: Hyper evo 212 (Soon will be a Corsair Hydro Series H55 Quiet Edition Liquid)
I'm curious about overclocking my AMD FX-6300 on the GA-78LMT-USB3 motherboard. What would be the benefits? I plan to install a Corsair Hydro Series H55 Quiet Edition Liquid and have a 212 EVO power supply ready. If it can handle it, go ahead. The outcome will depend on various factors.
My setup includes:
CPU: AMD FX-6300 Vishera 6-Core at 3.5 GHz
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti
PSU: Corsair CX Series 500W
Motherboard: GA-78LMT-USB3
RAM: 8.00GB
HDD: 1TB WESTERN D
Cooling: Hyper Evo 212 (soon a Corsair Hydro Series H55 Quiet Edition Liquid)
Just avoid pushing too hard or you might exceed the power supply limits. I’ve already pushed my 750W PSU to its limit during overclocking.
Up to 4GHz is achievable with careful handling, which provides a 4+1 VRM.
You'll probably find that the 212 EVO and H55 perform about the same, so don't bother. Your PSU and motherboard are basic and not really suitable for overclocking, so I wouldn't recommend it at all.
