I own an old Dell 1525 I purchased in 2007, upgraded its CPU to a T8300.
It seems performance is decreasing more and more with each Windows 10 update.
I've been considering the Dell 3502 but am unsure if it would be a good upgrade.
I haven't used laptops much lately and would appreciate some advice.
Thanks

The T8300 was launched in 2008; Core 2 Duo; clock speed 2.4 ghz; 2 cores; 2 threads; Passmark single thread score 958. There could be different versions of the Dell 3502, but the one I tested had a Celeron N4020 processor. Also introduced in 2008; clock speed 1.1 ghz; 2 cores; 2 threads; Passmark single thread score 1155. I don’t have much experience with either, but I think the difference isn’t significant. I wouldn’t recommend it. Both are weak.
