whether it's better to upgrade your i7 8700k to 4.7 or keep it at 3.7 depends on the turbo boost potential. since the boost reaches 4.7, it could be worthwhile.

I was thinking about doing an all-core original character build.
Standard boost performance improves as more cores are added, but the actual speed gain decreases with higher core counts.
For those looking for something extreme, you could try removing the 8700k and, a few months ago, using Cinebench R20 without AVX offset, achieving maximum temps in the low to mid-70s with a 5.1GHz OC.
