As great as this response is; and I should mention that I often look at the resolution image on that Wikipedia page; the irony here is that I ended up on this page and came across this answer because the page and the images it displays don’t actually show the 1600 x 900 resolution.
So although the advice to check that page and image is really useful for comparing different monitor sizes and gives a quick reference, it doesn’t actually provide details about that specific resolution.
For me, I was trying to find out if this resolution has a standard name, and all I’ve found is that it’s usually called HD+, without any official designation from a standards body, which is really annoying.
