Is Intel RAID the worst thing ever?
These are the incredible performance gains from a 3x3TB RAID 5 setup. It’s amazing how each drive can handle 140/140 independently. I still find it hard to believe I waited so long for it to start up. Why does Intel even make this? People still use it despite its complexity. It’s not just hardware—it would be great if Windows supported ZFS and RAIDZ.
Advanced RAID configurations such as 5 aren't particularly effective in standalone setups. A dedicated RAID card would be more suitable. For basic RAID levels like 0 and 1, performance would likely be significantly improved for practical use.
Suggest using a RAID card for tasks beyond simple RAID 0 and RAID 1 configurations.
