Is G2A Legit?
Many users suggest G2A for Windows, but the pricing varies significantly across platforms. Windows 8.1 Pro is £15 on some sites and £50 elsewhere. This inconsistency raises concerns about authenticity. If genuine, it should offer value beyond just a payment method—perhaps through exclusive features or support. Without clear benefits, it might be a scam targeting unsuspecting buyers.
I haven't experienced any issues with them before, though some have. It's up to you—I'd choose this option and use PayPal because refunds are straightforward.
If the item fails after a short period, a refund isn't possible. Conflicts are resolved within two weeks from purchase.
If you're planning to purchase a key from a reseller, it might be better to get one from /r/microsoftsoftwareswap. I'm not claiming every key there is genuine or that they aren't MDN keys (I haven't bought any from anyone on the site), but I'd prefer them over G2A.
Not previously experienced, but based on what others mentioned, it's similar to eBay... so if you've used eBay before, you'll understand the situation.
I purchased a Windows 7 license on G2Play.net, but after roughly six months it was flagged as illegal. When I inquired, it appears they’re offering MSDN keys, which aren’t permitted to be used without owning an MSDN license yourself. Checking the licensing conditions makes it clear that selling just the key, without the accompanying documentation, is against the rules.
