I just upgraded my PC, and the current build looks good:
Intel i9 13900K
RTX 4070 Ti OC Edition 12 GB
Asus Z790-P Wifi
Kingston DDR5 32 GB 6000 MHz
750W power supply
2 TB SSD (read/write speed 7000-7500
It’s an extremely awesome setup, I’m not concerned about performance anymore.
When playing Fortnite, the average FPS is around 300-600, then it drops suddenly to ~180-250, and that rapid decrease causes stuttering, which negatively impacts my gameplay, particularly during intense battles when my mouse moves quickly.
I also had an older system before, and it behaves similarly even though its overall FPS was high.
I’m using DX12 and HD textures.
Some people say it’s bad to run DX11 on such a configuration.
Anyone know a solution or why this is happening? It clearly isn’t a system issue.
Any suggestions would be appreciated, I don’t have problems with other games.

I just got my PC updated
We can check what you've changed to, what was your previous setup?
Power supply 750W
The label shows 750W as the rated power. Make sure to add the model and its age if it's been running for a while.

Warzone 2 performs adequately, typically around 200-300 fps in Battle Royale. It seems the main issue might be optimizing Fortnite properly, though I'm not sure.
The PSU used is an Asus ROG Strix 750W, modular ATX, 80 Plus Gold. It's two years old.
Earlier setup: i9 10850K, 3060 Ti, MSI MB, DDR4 32 GB — almost identical, but with more affordable parts.

Assuming you used a Z490 or Z590 chipset board, did you reinstall the operating system following the platform upgrade?

The old motherboard chipset was Z490. I replaced the SSD with a new one and ensured Windows and drivers were current. NVIDIA drivers are always up-to-date, and I’m considering using DX11 despite the suggestion to go with DX12, though I’m unsure if it would work well for this game.

Hello, you are not alone with this problem, contact support, whatever you do there is stuttering in Fortnite under DX12 and also on DX11, a lot of people are complaining about it on reddit for example, with a 4090… Look at my topic and I've been struggling for months.

did you ever come across a solution for the issue you're facing? it's strange since you've encountered it on both computers you own, and it's really causing you trouble.

Hello,
To be honest, it’s not ideal. After using the same GPU drivers for a while, performance improves slightly, but there are still occasional drops. It seems like the problem might come from either the server side or the game itself and can’t be fully resolved.
