Consider the title carefully. Evaluate whether the effort is worth it based on your needs and preferences. The appearance on the website is a good start, but compare it thoroughly with Manjaro to see if it meets your expectations.

It seems like Ubuntu paired with a mediocre desktop environment. Honestly, most Linux distributions have their flaws, but at least it’s not the absolute worst.

I haven't used it recently, but the last time I tried it, eOS didn't include essential tools such as Libre Office. It seemed to demand a lot of work to match other distributions, making it feel like a hassle unless you're okay with maintaining a specialized setup. For those who prefer a more stable experience, Manjaro might be a better choice. You can still find Pantheon versions for other distros if needed.

Ubuntu on a subpar Mac—no points for pretending it’s Mac-like. Don’t try!

I’m confident in my Linux skills, which lets me make Manjaro resemble macOS closely. I usually do this since my MacBook runs a dual-boot setup, and I want both systems to look similar.

Lol, this is what one of my classmates in my computer science class has to say about my Linux desktop. Some are shit, still 100% better than Macs or Windows in my opinions.

Here’s a clearer version:
It’s obvious everyone is in agreement—just using Ubuntu with a different distribution. It makes sense to stick with Ubuntu or another option. This setup is aimed at beginners who haven’t used Linux before.

It’s not the worst, but you’re missing the Ubuntu store. The ElementaryOS version already includes paid items without needing Snap or Flatpak.
