It seems like Ubuntu paired with a mediocre desktop environment. Honestly, most Linux distributions have their flaws, but at least it’s not the absolute worst.
I haven't used it recently, but the last time I tried it, eOS didn't include essential tools such as Libre Office. It seemed to demand a lot of work to match other distributions, making it feel like a hassle unless you're okay with maintaining a specialized setup. Here’s a clearer version:
It’s obvious everyone is in agreement—just using Ubuntu with a different distribution. It makes sense to stick with Ubuntu or another option. This setup is aimed at beginners who haven’t used Linux before.
It’s not the worst, but you’re missing the Ubuntu store. The ElementaryOS version already includes paid items without needing Snap or Flatpak.
