Ubisoft has taken the worst spot since Vivendi vanished. Only recently did the group known for focusing on just the six highest-budget titles notice their shift. FFS, they shut down the Heroes of Might & Magic V multiplayer server nine months after it launched. They’re clearly a bunch of terrible people who’ve always been that way. Plus, they acquired the Heroes of Might & Magic series only to churn out low-quality games and dump them everywhere. Since 3, every game has been a mess except for Beyond Good and Evil, which they call a "mistake" because it couldn’t generate revenue. Their hatred for Ubisoft surpasses everything else on this planet.

Even during EA's lowest points, I always felt Ubisoft was clearly inferior to me.

Ubisoft's BF4 release isn't about defending Ubisoft—it's clear from the E3 co-op demos alone that they're not impressed. Their approach to Watchdogs was a missed opportunity, leaving players with a flawed product and forcing patches before stability. In the gaming industry, no one surpasses EA in their worst moments, but BF4 might signal a shift after Hardline's issues.

This isn't a dick-size comparing contest. There's no "oh they aren't as bad as these really bad people", they're both shit, absolute shit. Both of them are shit game developers and publishers, no doubt, no competition. No, one is not better, one is not less shit than the other, they're both fucking horrible gaming companies. Maybe not the worst company, but definitely the worst video game company for sure.

I played BF4 for hundreds of hours right after it came out. It had some issues, including a few major ones, but it wasn’t as bad as people think it was. However, if you’re looking for a real take: Watch Dogs is still worse in my view. At least with EA, the PC versions tend to work well. Even with all the problems BF4 had, it’s much more reliable technically compared to many other games that are intentionally broken on PC. Ubisoft and Activision have a different story even years later.
