Is EA still the best company around?
Is EA still the best company around?
Season 2 is really good. I’m hoping they’ll release a patch that fixes the issues for me by then. They offered to give me Titanfall for free, but I turned it down because I prefer playing BF4. It seems they’re trying to help since I’m struggling with crashes after the fall patch.
I'll share my thoughts right now: EA was rapidly becoming a target for strong dislike among many gamers. Much like Ubisoft's current situation, their sales continued only because players were genuinely interested in what they provided. They aren't the top company overall, but they seem to be the one still clinging to the ideals from the late 90s and early 2000s in gaming, making them somewhat better than worse. While most of their existing titles are still problematic, it's clear that some were so flawed at launch that fixing them would require a complete rewrite. The BF4 test setup and subsequent updates revealed persistent issues—like a soda can on a staircase—only after major patches. At least they're making progress instead of rushing releases. We shouldn't overlook the fact that if EA had been the same company before, BF: Hardline would have disappeared long ago. Ubisoft, on the other hand, either doesn't understand their audience or has a clear bias against PC players, or they genuinely believe a $3000+ PC is necessary to compete with a $350 console in graphics.
EA consistently delivers poor BF4 and Titanfall releases that aren't fully developed or tested. This free BF4 demo is merely an effort to entice players to purchase BF:Hardline, which feels somewhat redundant. I actually tried the beta version.
They’re getting better, that’s for sure. Still, they’re evolving. I’m sure you won’t let prejudice or obsession hide the updates companies make. Keep checking the news and notice how businesses change. Trust me, six months can turn a great company into something terrible—or vice versa. I’ve felt it myself, not just with EA.
Ubisoft is considered one of the least successful companies in the industry.
I’m not sure about this, I’m 22. The main issue with EA is they acquired Westwood Studios and then closed it down five years later. I’ll admit though, I’ve never had to reach out to customer service for any game besides World of Warcraft.
