Are you questioning if its present cost makes sense? You might want to consider purchasing it just to safeguard your PC in the future...

This offer doesn't align with current value expectations. At this rate, it would be significantly more expensive than standard pricing.

Keep an eye on things, the DDR5 is just released now, similar to how DDR4 was a step up in speed. When you're ready to upgrade, what you have today will feel slow and outdated. The next generation will offer improved timing and higher performance, so it's best to get it soon to fully utilize your CPU's capabilities.

They're talking about 400 AUD for DDR4 3600 modules. These are nearly comparable to what you'd see for I9-12900K. According to the sources mentioned, it's worth considering if gaming performance is your main priority.

I'm telling you the real reason I chose DDR5 was because there aren't any black ASUS Strix LGA 1700 boards for DDR4... I need my setup to be black Smile

With the funds available for DDR5 boards and RAM, prices are expected to drop in the future, giving you the chance to upgrade RAM when needed. It's up to you.

You're looking to purchase it, which is your own money. If you need a reason to buy it, go ahead—just make sure you're confident. For long-term value, it's not my opinion right now, but prices tend to fall in the coming years. Since it's still early for DDR5, better options with cheaper prices should appear soon.

No not right now. As with all first gen stuff avoid and wait for the next generation. Ddr4 is a good example. The 2133mhz stuff was fine for 6th,7th and 8th gen intel cpu's but from then on it became A LOT more important to get faster ram to the point that the perfromance difference got REALLY noticeable. Amd had this from basically day one and the difference was rather huge. The 2133mhz stuff could limit the cpu by up to 30% compared to the 3600mhz cl16 stuff. Same story with ddr3 and ddr2 and ddr and.... only it gets worse every time. It's predicted that ddr5 is to reach well past 6000mhz so ya know even getting current high end stuff is going to be very slow in a couple years because the latency will drop drastically and of course the price. It's going to be CHEAPER and BETTER to get faster better ram later when you need to upgrade again instead of keeping the slow first gen stuff. So basically get a decent ddr4 board with decent ddr4 ram (cl16 3600mhz is the sweet spot for value, performance and compatibility) and run with it. You won't. As always it's thrown away money.
