It seems your IP address doesn't really matter for security since it's so straightforward to access. I could easily share it with others and post it online.

Stay safe online; consider using a VPN such as Hotspot Shield or Tunnelbear for better protection.

As far as IP goes on the internet I wouldnt worry about it, on a console people can grab your IP's and Doss you offline. Apart from that, besides look up your location, there isnt much else they can do with just your IP adress

Some sites track your IP address automatically. This vulnerability shows up only for users with a VPN since the connection hides your real IP address.

There are browsers that don’t mask your activity through VPNs or proxies. Unless you need an extremely slow option like Tor, Chrome seems secure enough.

It seems many are confused about which IP address is being discussed. Chrome shouldn’t be showing your network details unless someone actually tries to access your system. The real issue arises only if a hacker gains entry through the ISP-assigned IP, which is visible publicly unless you're using a proxy. In short, Chrome is generally safer than most browsers except Internet Explorer.

Chrome, Firefox, and Opera displayed both IP addresses. Notably, IE didn’t show any. Still, it’s not worth going back to IE.
