Planning to purchase this build, here are the specifications: CPU R9 9950X, GPU ASUS PRIME RTX5080 OC, MBOX MSI MAG X870 GAMING PLUS, RAM XPG LANCER BLADE RGB 32×2 6000MHZ CL30 DDR5, COOLER MSI MAG CORELIQUID C360 ARGB, CASE CORSAIR FRAME 4000D RS ARGB. Regarding the motherboard, I'm unsure about the best option for a Ryzen 9 9950x. Have you looked into it?

They are all considered "Good," though the value you get depends a lot on personal preference. With that CPU, you could opt for a higher-end B650 with 12-stage VRM at a fraction of the cost while maintaining the same performance and reliability. The B and X motherboards mainly differ in optional features, with X boards offering more. The 600 series has fewer PCIe 4 and 5 features but performs similarly overall.

If you prefer MSI and are willing to pay the price, it's a solid choice—it's not worse or better than any other X870.

PS. Those numbers refer only to the chipset, nothing else.

Hello, after selecting your motherboard, upgrade it to the latest BIOS following the provided instructions for flashing the BIOS. The initial settings will remain default, but you can adjust them later for optimal performance with your games and applications. Be sure to verify all power connections from the PSU to every component and drive, including GPU RAM. Ensure the CPU has sufficient thermal paste and that the cooler is securely installed. Keep the motherboard manual handy and consider having a second PC nearby for reference if needed. There are experienced individuals here who can assist with any challenges. Wishing you success with this project—it's a valuable investment that should bring you many enjoyable hours. A dedicated PC builder and gamer.

Thanks, I plan to assemble this on my own. I already have a 6750xt GPU extra, so I won’t install the 5080. I’ve replaced the cooler and will purchase the Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 PRO.
