I have a 15% discount on any PC game on Origin (thanks EA support Tongue) and it’s available until the end of March. I’m considering BF4 Premium edition—I think it’s now reasonably priced on Origin. I enjoyed BC2, liked BF3 but not as much as BC2, and I tried out the beta of BF4 but didn’t buy the full version. I assume many players have everything unlocked, and most bugs and netcode issues are fixed. Is the game still enjoyable? Are the servers active enough for a new player starting at level 1? If you think BF4 isn’t worth it or prefer another PC game under 20 euros on Origin, feel free to suggest one.

It's the top modern Battlefield experience, a great casual shooter with solid skill differences. Definitely worth trying—it's better than CS:GO or CoD.

I think this game is more fun than Cod or CSGO too, and EA is still developing Battlefield 4—they’re even releasing free DLC now.

I really don’t want anything too intense like CS (played 1.6, Source and GO for many hours, no longer want to play them). I’ve been spending over 100 hours on BS games lately—BO3 is definitely too much. Recently I’ve shifted focus to SP titles (mainly Witcher 3), so I think another big RPG with a lot of lore isn’t my style. Maybe BF4 would be better, but I need more convincing and a decision soon. My last choice is to wait—there’s a chance something will come out by the end of March. I’m hoping for something new, though. The only game I’m excited about in February is Firewatch, but it probably won’t be available on Origin.

Checking the regular edition offers you most of the content, but you’ll miss features and expansions found in the premium version, such as those in BF3.

Meh, not really. You can find DLC maps on several servers but the majority is playing the vanilla maps anyway.

Of course, I'm happy to provide the standard edition.

Seems like you're considering it, but you might not discover much beyond the Origin store.

I believe Battlefield 4 offers great value. I’d choose the Premium edition. It’s currently discounted by 60%, around $20. Many top maps are available in the Premium DLC, while the standard version limits you to servers that don’t support it. The game remains lively and enjoyable, though you might face a steep learning curve at level 1. There are servers that reward XP more quickly, and XP boosts can help you unlock classes or weapons faster when you know what you need. You’ll also find battlepacks that grant random perks with each one you complete.
