it should function properly on standard 10bit HDR panels too, at least with HDR already permanently active when mixed content appears on the screen (such as SDR combined with HDR video in a window).... as long as you don’t use some very outdated ICC color profiles, enhanced colors are already present in SDR under HDR mode. These improvements add a wider color gamut to 10bit SDR, which was previously exclusive to workstation GPUs.
I might want to see it in action before deciding if swapping my monitor is worthwhile. It could be something I consider for the next time. I didn't experience HDR the previous time because LG's version wasn't impressive.
Not eager to switch monitors since the current display suits my GPU well. It took me several years to find the right balance.
