Sure, I tried it and felt really unwell after about twenty minutes, so I ended up resting. The last time I played simulation sickness was in Quake 2.

The audio quality in that game isn't great for spatial accuracy—it can become quite bothersome. But switching to speakers might help improve the experience.

Yes, that's correct. We're using 4790K and 2800 series processors along with 8GB RAM and SSDs for our testing rigs. We also have a lot of 3D printers. Our school is really into tech.

Sure. I tried a short clip and then needed a long rest before continuing. Motion sickness also shows up when playing Alien vs Predator. It could be motion blur, graphics quality, or just my limits with the experience. Maybe it's the intensity of the game that overwhelms me.

I experience headaches due to low frame rates and occasionally motion blur, not sure if that qualifies.

That's unusual.

I’m attempting to test this and see if I can enjoy Mirrors Edge. I previously played similar games with audio, but it caused discomfort.

The default field of view in HL2 is 90 degrees, which is limited, and they stopped supporting angles beyond that in a previous patch. To achieve a broader view you’ll need to set a custom resolution and configure HL2 to use it. Here’s what you see at 2880x1080.
