From GMG it seems significantly more affordable. Also in USD, excluding taxes. Since I'm not based in the US, the cost comes out to about $75 for me.
I play it occasionally and it works well enough so performance isn't a problem. How do I feel about it? It's decent, but they should reduce grenade damage and cap it at one per load. Perhaps adjust the explosive range or damage too. It feels similar to Battlefield 3/4 with rocket launchers everywhere.
Only four universes have 14 maps available, and it seems there’s no dedicated single-player mode. The £35 price tag feels quite high given the current options.
I’m drawn to this idea, though many see the price-to-content ratio as difficult to accept. I’ll be holding out for a better offering soon. In the meantime, I have plenty of work to do.
The port is really impressive. It looks good and works smoothly even on average hardware. Adjustments like key rebinding, field settings, no frame rate limits, and support for unusual monitor resolutions are handled well. I managed to run the beta on a GTX 770 at 1080p with maximum detail and maintained over 50 FPS. For more details, you can check the PCGaming Wiki page for Star Wars: Battlefront (2015), which includes screenshots of the options menus. The gameplay might have some minor problems, but from a technical standpoint, there are no major concerns.
I think it works fine. The gameplay is decent, but some weapons aren't great. The fighters are really poor. Flying doesn't require skill, which makes it tricky to manage and mostly relies on chance. The beta version was better. You can no longer hit ground targets.
