I attempted to turn off updates, installed the latest drivers, and then restarted the game which caused it to crash.

I might have collaborated with certain individuals, but not on my own.

This action hasn't occurred before in relation to Adrenaline. Likely a setup error or unfamiliar setting. Installing a driver won't start automatically—you must manually trigger it.

Windows released an update on December 9th covering the AMD crash problem as well. Windows 11 KB5072033 is another potential concern. The AMD Crash Defender Service may trigger a crash, according to some users. Avoid using Windows driver updates; instead, perform a manual update. You can turn off automatic driver updates so Windows will download and install an older version itself. Even after a manual update, proceed with caution.

It seems you're asking about potential issues with corrupted Windows files and wondering when you last reinstalled Windows. Would you like to know more details or steps to resolve this?

If you received a card around release, it's probably safe to check if the maker has refreshed the vbios. Updating vbios is not unusual—cards often get updated several times in the first year or so after launch, sometimes even more frequently in the initial months. I’d reinsert the card and then apply the newest drivers, following the current advice to turn off driver updates completely.

It seems you're unsure of its age, but it's been around for roughly two to three months.

Confirming the issue is with the drivers or GPU. AMD Adrenaline SW can dismiss alerts caused by RAM or CPU problems. Would you like me to check them too?

Any alert indicating driver timeout is the only solution I've discovered; the only workaround available is using a different driver version. Nothing else seems to work.
