I've experienced continuous driver timeouts on my 9070xt after purchasing it. I've tried using older versions, but they only work temporarily before crashing again. After reinstalling the latest update, the problem persisted. The DDU installer doesn't seem to resolve it, and I'm unsure what else I can try. Help needed!

Windows' built-in update feature appears to clash with AMD graphics software. Previously, frequent timeouts occurred on my 7800xt until I turned off automatic updates. After that change, problems disappeared. It seems Windows tends to revert drivers aggressively, sometimes causing instability.

It resolved the issue for me and could be the solution here, though many factors might lead to timeouts. I’d consider blocking automatic updates as a first step.

Uninstall the previous version and install the latest one. Which release should I choose?

AMD isn't problematic; they're simply prone to errors. Drivers often fall short in quality. Update the newest stable driver for your system. Run a Windows update checker to prevent the GPU from being included in updates.

Used the newest AMD drivers while turning off automatic Windows updates to keep the AMD software stable. Honestly, I faced more issues with Nvidia GPUs than with AMD. Both had their problems, but AMD seems to be working harder to resolve them. I don’t have much experience with Intel ARC, though I’ve heard they also encounter some challenges...
