Upscaling techniques like FSR or DLSS can be questionable at 1080p. The starting resolution is already limited, so quality settings might not meet expectations. Results will vary.

That's 1200p then. Also, probably not you—your screen size is likely much smaller than that. You can look it up in Windows by right-clicking the desktop and selecting Display settings, which will show your actual resolution.

Generally, upscaling should be reserved for situations where achieving the needed quality at your original resolution isn't possible. At 1080p, the enhanced image won't surpass the native version. For 1440p, the improvement is noticeable but not drastic, and at 4K it's minimal. Using more pixels for processing usually leads to higher quality outcomes.

I’d lower the settings to ultra before applying fsr to prevent shimmer and flickering. If you’ve already adjusted them and still want better frame rates, it’s possible the issue isn’t there.
