Creating a Hackintosh is straightforward. With suitable components from the beginning, you avoid constant battles with the operating system and service issues. Many users succeed and maintain machines that keep updating smoothly.

Confirmed for accuracy. There are individuals who enjoy this kind of task, and they wouldn't face issues fixing problems by themselves if something fails.

The designs remain consistent across most contemporary desktop CPUs—x86_64 (AMD64). This isn’t the main concern. Apple’s desktop operating systems generally lean toward Intel processors and chipsets. However, AMD Hacintoshing is feasible. Just ensure you track updates regularly and maintain numerous bootable backups for quick recovery. Avoid depending solely on Time Machine.

EDIT: Darwin/XNU now supports ARM hardware by default. The ARM Hacintoshing can start... XD

Often, especially with hardware similar to Apple products but more affordable, such as my i5-4690k and an R9270x, I experience smooth performance. I can install kexts and update just like a genuine Mac, even recognizing my Intel server card out of the box. It feels like a real 4K iMac from 2014, and everything functions perfectly. Security settings remain fully enabled without any changes, and I haven’t had to disable anything or install additional software. I’m considering enabling FileVault on it, just need to figure out how. I even tried another AMD system with an A10-6700, but the RTC caused issues with timing, affecting programs like Logic Pro. Updates were problematic, making the process difficult despite potential improvements.
