The rest of my family is okay with their internet, but whenever I play CSGO I experience 150 to 300 ping and it causes teleportation and jumping issues. The problem started suddenly about five days ago, and my ISP said everything looks normal. This hasn’t happened before, and my firewall isn’t blocking CSGO traffic.
Maybe verify if packets are being transmitted correctly between your PC and router.
Can we retrieve some trace details to the server you're experiencing problems with? In CS:GO, entering "status" into the console will display various server statistics. Use the IP address and port number in a tool like WinMTR, let it run for roughly five minutes, and share the findings here.
Your command prompt doesn't allow testing packet loss because it shows a "request timed out" error.
I checked my usual ping numbers and got around 30-40 ms. When testing for packet loss it came up clean. But during a CS:GO session online, my ping jumped to about 200 ms and my latency spiked. My ISP said nothing was wrong on their side. My antivirus or firewall isn’t blocking the game either. I’m really confused and this is super frustrating.
You need to check your game settings or in-game options to see which server you're connected to.
It seems you're experiencing slow connection due to being far from the server.
