This device had been in use for more than two years. A few months back, a green vertical mark appeared on the side of the display. It would vanish only to reappear repeatedly. Eventually, faint light green lines emerged on the right side, though they weren’t very obvious. I often clean it with a paper towel and some alcohol, but I used too much alcohol recently. Someone mentioned that alcohol shouldn’t harm the screen, yet I’m worried because I suspect it might have gotten inside several ports on my iPhone 13 mini. Recently, the screen flickered green for about thirty minutes—sometimes steady, sometimes just a brief glow. I tried opening settings to fix it, but the issue persisted. I set a passcode since I rarely use it in public, usually turning it off when inside the house. I wondered if keeping the passcode would be safer at an Apple store, where technicians need access to sensitive apps like email and banking. Right now I’m not in the US, so I can’t visit an Apple outlet. I don’t have AppleCare either. If you’re seeing this green screen, replacing the display seems necessary. It sometimes stays green for a moment before returning to normal, but it’s unpredictable. It appears more often when the phone gets warm. Should I always keep the passcode active? I rely heavily on my iPhone while inside, so I don’t want to waste time entering it. But if the screen remains green and I can’t change settings, I risk losing access to important apps. The thought is that if the display stays green, bringing it in could expose your data—especially banking or email—to unauthorized use. Updating to the latest iOS might help, but I’m using an older version. Would turning off and restarting the phone reduce the chances? I’m outside the US soon and will be back. How much would fixing the screen cost at Apple? What’s the total price including taxes? How long does the repair take? Can they bring it to my apartment for service? If I pick it up, will I still have my passcode? If the screen is just green without a code, can I turn it on before handing it over? If I don’t have a passcode, can I view the screen to set one up? Last concern: if I buy a replacement, would it be worth it? I’ve spent over $800 on this iPhone 13 mini a while back. The battery is around 85%, so a replacement might make sense. I’m considering a smaller model like the iPhone SE, but I heard its battery life isn’t great. I’d rather keep the current phone than replace it unless the screen issues are serious.

Something like this? If so, here is an informative video for you: Anyhow, good luck with that ... I provide minimal Apple support , perhaps other forum users will be willing to answer your questions and give you advice .

You just noticed a bright green vertical line appearing in the center of the display. The main problem is the rapid flashing green effect. This causes the entire screen to turn green, making it impossible to interact with any elements.

No one has mentioned visiting an Apple store in the US to replace a screen. The cost for an iPhone 13 Mini varies, and turnaround times depend on the service provider.
