I'm working on configuring multiple ports through your router (ASUS DSL-A68U with latest firmware). It seems the device keeps showing mismatched external and WAN IP addresses. Your ISP claims you have a static IP, which they are correct about. The issue persists despite changes. Could this be a problem they need to resolve? Or is there a way to manually set the correct IPs in your router settings? I've tried researching this but haven't found a clear solution yet. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Do you own a distinct modem or a router that combines both functions?

It seems this setup might be complicated because I’m not certain about the exact hardware involved. I’m using a satellite that connects to an access point on a hill. On the satellite, there looks like a box that sends free WiFi for anyone nearby, while my private connection runs at 100/25 Mbps. I think there’s some kind of routing equipment or modem on the satellite. I’ve reached out to my ISP to get more details.

Your internet service provider is assigning you a fixed private IP, and they are handling NAT themselves. This prevents you from forwarding ports. You should inquire whether they can supply a public IPv4 address.

Thanks for the info. For marking it as solved, simply delete the thread if you no longer need it. If you want to keep a record, you can post a summary or note about it.

And it works now... I realize this update is outdated, but I’ve been trying to access the port forwarding for months. (I’m also using Uniti Wireless). Thanks everyone, I understand it’s not me and I’ll reach out to them directly.
