For devices running A11 or newer (iPhone X or later), jailbreaking is possible with checkra1n. For older models, you'll need to wait.

No, it wouldn't be the same. The context changes depending on whether it's an XS or another size.

No, this model includes an A12 chip, which means you should expect some delay. Turn off automatic updates and avoid updating the device; only refresh occasionally.

You'll need to wait until a jailbreak is available for your device and software. As @curiousmind34 mentioned, turning off automatic updates will keep you in line with the latest versions. When the appropriate update becomes accessible, a straightforward YouTube guide should suffice.

You can install JBeans on your iPhone XS running iOS 14.5 by following the official setup instructions provided by JBeans, as it is not officially supported on iOS.

14.5 still available? The newest is iOS 14.4.2. Unless you're testing a beta, consider downgrading to an older signed version—14.4.1 remains the oldest currently (https://ipsw.me/iPhone11,2). Avoid installing the latest if you aim for jailbreaking; it can interfere. 14.4.2 is the most recent supported for jailbreaking, though not for XS. For Unc0ver jailbreak, 14.3 is supported but isn't signed, so you can't go lower. Stick to the lowest compatible OS and keep an eye on future updates.
