i just got a pc four days ago and am checking if the price of 900 cdn is reasonable for what i have. also wondering if it can be upgraded. the specs are: amd ryzen 7 5700, rtx 3050, 16gb ram, 1tb m.2 nvme pcie 4.0 ssd, and asus tuf gaming b550-plus with wifi. my monitor only supports 100hz, should i consider getting a better one before any upgrades?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer! You're advised to stylize your thread with info asked of in this thread; *How to Ask for New Build or Upgrade Advice* How to Ask for New Build or Upgrade Advice First off, respect where respect is due - this is an adaptation of the Animal's *How To Ask For New Build Advice* Sticky. I created this because there's a lot of posts nowadays asking for upgrade advice both on here and on the CPU forums, and I feel... forums. and why you think you'd need to upgrade the system. As for your specs, please list them like so: CPU: CPU cooler: Motherboard: Ram: SSD/HDD: GPU: PSU: Chassis: OS: Monitor: include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time. ^ include the above specs and perhaps we can guide you to an upgrade path.

This setup works well for most games at 1080p with reduced graphics options. Just tweak it for the best performance in each title.
You won't need to upgrade the screen.

Sure, thank you. I was wondering about monitors since I don’t really like the 25-inch ones, and there’s a great one on sale. Is it okay to get a higher grade monitor with my GPU right now until I upgrade? My reason for mentioning upgrading was that I’m having trouble playing Starfield.

You can achieve a superior monitor experience even with a lower-end GPU. It's not advisable to opt for a 1440 or 4K screen paired with the 3050 unless you adjust its settings to operate at 1080p.
