Recently, I upgraded my computer with an 8700K processor, a new Gigabyte motherboard, and a Corsair H100i Pro liquid cooler – replacing my previous Ryzen 5 1500X and older Gigabyte AM4 board; shortly after this, I also performed a fresh installation of Windows 10. Games perform reasonably, but sporadically experience strange fluctuations in frame rates and stutters, typically lasting one to two seconds. A clear illustration is the Resident Evil 2 remake, which normally maintains around 80 FPS, yet briefly dips (as recorded by Steam’s counter) to approximately 20 during these instances. It would be simpler if this problem only manifested in more graphically intensive titles, however, I've encountered it consistently within a 2D sprite-based shooter, making the root cause difficult to determine.

Despite the fact that some games, such as Apex Legends, functioned without issue, every game on my Steam library exhibiting this behavior – a situation that hadn’t existed before the hardware upgrade. I’ve attempted troubleshooting steps including reinstalling graphics drivers, updating the BIOS, verifying connections within the PC, and adjusting RAM configurations, but none of these actions resolved the problem. Seeking assistance in online forums has yielded no definitive solutions. This issue is frustrating given the investment I've made in this system over time, and it feels like I’m overlooking a simple solution.

Detailed specifications can be found at: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/14993968 (My power supply unit has a capacity of 600W).

The power supply unit is a Corsair CX600M. When the CPU's fans and pump were configured for maximum cooling, the in-game temperature while playing reached approximately 26.5 degrees Celsius.
