I attempted gameplay today and observed altered audio—specifically, a muffled and low sound quality that persists despite volume adjustments. The issue remains unresolved after modifying settings, updating drivers, and disabling enhancements. Despite troubleshooting efforts, the audio continues to exhibit an abnormal sound. I am seeking assistance in diagnosing and resolving this problem.
If audio is the issue, safe mode is relevant. If it’s solely regarding games, the problem likely involves audio or video applications/settings within game profiles. Which audio and video manufacturer software have you checked, and which specific programs did you investigate?
I utilized manufacturer’s software, HP Audio Control, and I did not realize its presence until after updating the audio drivers. It was the sole audio control option I investigated alongside standard Windows sound settings.
Did you just update to Windows 10 Build 1903? If so, then it's a known issue.
