Sure! For newcomers to the Mass Effect universe, playing Andromeda can still offer value even if they're unfamiliar with the series. It expands on the story and introduces fresh characters and settings. Just make sure you're prepared for a different tone and gameplay style compared to previous entries.

It's a spin-off and unrelated to the original titles.

I haven't tried any of the others yet and I'm using the original access 10-hour trial right now. I'm not fully understanding it at the moment, but I'm still hopeful.

You're interested in a Bethesda RPG with impressive trailers and gameplay. Let me check your setup and performance. What's your PC's specs?

I usually enjoy fast-paced first-person shooters, though some team interactions feel unusual. Things are improving. I'm maintaining a steady 60 FPS (monitor limit) at ultra settings across most categories (using the built-in setup on my i7 4970k and GTX 1080 hybrid with 16GB RAM).

Thanks! It's a bit more than what I have now—860K and a GTX 960. Maybe I'll keep waiting until others share their benchmark results.

It's still a chance it might not be an outstanding title, to be truthful. I haven't played it yet, but most reviews I read have been varied at best. If you haven't tried any Mass Effect games, you might want to revisit the original trilogy. Not because it's essential for enjoying Andromeda, but those earlier entries are solid and affordable now (excluding DLC). By then, Andromeda is likely to see lower prices and the community will have a clearer view of its value.

Mass Effect 1, 2, and 3 are excellent titles. You should try them out. Although Andromeda isn't connected to them, playing them will still energize you for the final game, hehe.

The original trilogy performs well. It will require some time to complete, so plan accordingly and spend plenty of time on the initial three titles.
