I set up my new computer and connected to Ethernet. It frequently switches to gigabit mode for a brief moment, with lights flickering between green and orange unpredictably. When the power stays on for a short time, it operates at gigabit speeds, but after a while it stabilizes to green and maintains a steady connection at 100mbps.

WIFI is active, but it wasn't mentioned if you were already connected. Are you checking speeds with a specific device or tool?

WiFi is active both wirelessly and via Ethernet, and I’ve previously connected to WiFi. I’m testing my connection with Speedtest.net, and Windows reports 100mbps.

Update the network interface drivers. Also, test with another Ethernet cable (Cat5e or superior).

You might want to give it another try. Faulty cables can sometimes function, but often not consistently—especially if they show minor damage or exposed wires. Have you checked for updated drivers for your network interface card? What type of NIC model does your computer use? Also, consider the other gadgets connected to the network.

I received an 8-port cable and nothing has altered. The NIC model is Intel Ethernet Controller (3), while other devices include my laptop, four phones, a TV, and this PC.
