Internet speed is decreasing on your Windows devices.
I possess a balanced internet connection. The download performance meets expectations at 50mbps on both Windows and Android devices (no access to Linux or Apple products). However, my upload speed isn’t functioning well on my PC, especially on Windows systems running Windows 10 Home. I use Speedtest.net and Google Speedtest to measure these speeds. On Speedtest.net, I receive 3 to 15 Mbps upload depending on location—15 Mbps in Norway and 3 to 5 Mbps elsewhere. Google Speedtest consistently shows around 5 Mbps upload. When testing Android devices to the same servers, I get a steady 50 Mbps upload. My PC uses a CAT6 cable and Wi-Fi; I also tried disconnecting it and connecting via USB with my phone enabled for internet sharing. In that setup, the phone achieved 50 Mbps upload while the PC maintained the same results. I tested across three Android devices (two phones, one tablet) and three PCs (two laptops, one desktop). Even after resetting the PC with Windows 10, I still got full 50 Mbps upload speeds. I’ve tried various fixes—updated drivers, changed DNS, used a VPN, disabled delivery optimization, adjusted network settings, turned off firewall, removed OneNote, etc.—but nothing helped except on my desktop after installing a Windows update. After that, the connection returned to 3-15 Mbps speeds for about four hours. Since then, no improvement in upload speed has been observed. I’ve documented all attempts and adjustments I made. Please let me know if any of this information is useful. Thank you.
